Experts from BlackRock have published a report entitled “Global Forecast for 2025,” according to which the first cryptocurrency could become a new tool for diversification, along with gold.
According to analysts, this is possible due to the unique characteristics of Bitcoin, including its ability to grow consistently over time. The rise in the value of the first cryptocurrency is due to limited supply and increasing demand, based on investors’ faith in Bitcoin as a profitable payment instrument.
“Bitcoin’s growing role as a store of value and means of payment makes it a useful diversification tool for investment funds,” the report says.
The rise in digital gold prices to a record high after the US presidential election points to the prospect of further widespread adoption of Bitcoin and a decline in correlation with stocks and other risk assets in the coming year.
BlackRock added that Bitcoin’s risk profile and return will change as the cryptocurrency becomes more widely accepted, making Bitcoin more like gold, a tactical hedge against high inflation risks, the experts concluded.
Earlier, MicroStrategy Chairman Michael Saylor said that buying bitcoins will always be justified at any price, since the first cryptocurrency will never stop growing in dollar terms.
