Next week, a “converter” for ERC-20 tokens, a tool for migrating tokens to the Cardano network, will be launched on the Cardano test blockchain.
During the latest Cardano 360 event, IOHK project manager Francisco Landino announced that the ERC-20 token converter will be rolling out to the testnet next week. The ERC-20 two-way token migration tool was first introduced in May and aims to enable users to migrate Ethereum-based tokens to and from Cardano.
The new tool is targeted at both end users and token issuers, Landino said. Any ERC-20 token can be issued in Cardano as a network token. The developer also showed a demo presentation on how to convert SingularityNET AGIX token to Cardano using the new tool.
As part of the event, Cardano developer Dimitris Poulopoulos said that the project team is currently investigating all potential issues that may arise when deploying the Alonzo smart-contract-enabled hard fork on the mainnet in September.
Mel McCann, head of technical integration at the Cardano Foundation, claims the team is currently in contact with 140 exchanges and more than 100 other organizations in the ecosystem:
“We have many different components that we offer to exchanges, and not all exchanges are the same,” McCann said.
During the event, Jeremy Firster of the Cardano Foundation also announced a new developer bounty program for finding vulnerabilities in partnership with HackerOne. Foerster said that the main goals of the program are to ensure the transparency of the code and its reliability.
