Coinbase has announced that Coinbase Wallet is ending support for Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ripple (XRP), Stellar (XLM), and Ethereum Classic (ETC) due to loss of user interest.
According to a statement from Coinbase, January 23 will be the deadline for transferring XRP, BCH, XLM, and ETC to another cryptocurrency wallet. In addition, the owners of these cryptocurrencies will have to import the recovery phrases into the new wallet in order to use their assets.
Coinbase Wallet works with Arbitrum, Avalanche C-Chain, BNB Chain, Gnosis Chain, Fantom Opera, Optimism, Polygon, xDai and Solana blockchains. In addition, it supports all networks compatible with Ethereum and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Recall that this month, cryptocurrency trading platforms Binance, BitMEX and KuCoin excluded pairs of tokens from the bankrupt FTX exchange from the list of their exchange platforms.
