Donald Trump has promised to make the United States the world’s center for cryptocurrency mining and will not allow the sale of 210,000 bitcoins held on the government’s balance sheet. According to the candidate, these assets will become the core of the strategic national reserve of bitcoins.

During his speech to the Bitcoin 2024 audience, the former president promised that he would appoint a person to the post of chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) who would not “block America’s great future.” The current head, Gary Gensler , will be fired, the politician promised.
Donald Trump assured listeners that US Vice President and the most likely Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris is even worse than current President Joe Biden because she is an implacable opponent of cryptocurrencies.
Trump also promised to try to soften the sentence of Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht , create an advisory board on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, prevent the launch of a CBDC , and make America the world’s crypto capital.
Earlier, Ripple Labs General Counsel Stuart Alderoty donated 624,000 XRP ($300,000) to Donald Trump’s election campaign.
