According to the filing for bankruptcy of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange, the amount of debt obligations of the platform to the 50 largest creditors is $3.1 billion.
The document does not indicate the names of the creditors of the crypto exchange, however, it is known that the amount of the largest debt is $225 million. The statement also says that the amount of debts to the 10 largest creditors is $1.45 billion.
“The list of the top 50 creditors is based on currently available debt information. Clarification and investigation of FTX debt obligations continues, as there may be payments already made that are not reflected in the books of creditors, ”the bankruptcy filing said.
Earlier it was reported that the total number of creditors of the site, including retail investors, may exceed 1 million people.
At the same time, former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried considers filing for bankruptcy his “biggest mistake.” According to him, he followed the advice of lawyers, but if he had not done so, he probably could have saved the company.
