Three hours after trading began on eight exchanges, HMSTR tokens fell in price to $0.008471, 32% below the initial level. Trading volume in the first hour was $251 million.
Trading on the exchanges began simultaneously with the airdrop – the distribution of tokens to users of the clicker game. The Wallet built into Telegram encountered malfunctions, and Binance users complained that they were unable to create a sell order or even log into their accounts.
The TON blockchain transaction browser and network status display site Tonviewer also stopped functioning, and customers pointed out errors occurring on other crypto exchanges.
TON developers warned in advance that the launch of the Hamster Kombat token would create a significant load on the blockchain, which could last until September 29.
The airdrop involves about 131 million players. The project promised to issue 100 billion HMSTR, 75 billion of which will be distributed to players. Players will be able to cash out 88.75% of the tokens on the first day of trading, the remaining 11.25% – in 10 months.
Earlier, the Hamster Kombat team published a roadmap for 2025, promising to launch a separate application and integrate payment systems into the project’s infrastructure.
