Popular rapper Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye, has published a series of messages on his page on the social network X about the launch of the Swasticoin memecoin and its own blockchain.
Kanye West has announced plans to launch his own blockchain and crypto asset, adding that he intends to “build his own digital empire.” However, some in the crypto community and fans of the musician have expressed doubts about these statements. They speculate that Ye may have handed over control of his X account, either by selling it or leasing it to a group intending to launch a scam memecoin.
According to Dave Portnoy, founder of digital media company Barstool Sports, he is sure that the musician’s account is run by scammers who are planning a “rug pull.” User X, under the pseudonym Scooter , noted that messages on Kanye West’s account are published from different time zones, and user Loki The Bird conducted his own investigation and claims that the rapper sold his account to the BarkMeta Doginals team for $17 million.
Previously, Dave Portnoy launched a GREED memecoin dedicated to human greed, and then deliberately crashed it by 99%, after which he launched a new token GREED2.
