Reuters, citing its own sources, reports that negotiations between the SEC and asset managers have reached the final stage, and the regulator may approve ETH-ETF before July 4, 2024.
According to Reuters, the process of making changes to the documents for the placement of ETFs on air has advanced to the stage of resolving minor comments. Lawyers for companies that have submitted applications for ETH-ETF are confident that there is no more than a week left until the documents are approved.
Bloomberg Intelligence senior analyst Eric Balchunas shares the same opinion. After ETH-ETF issuers received comments on Forms S-1 from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Balchunas said that the launch of spot ETH ETFs will take place on July 2.
At the same time, SEC Chairman Gary Gensler said in an interview with Bloomberg that there should be no rush to approve applications for ETH-ETF. According to him, the process of reviewing applications is going “smoothly.”
