For the first time in the history of the music world, rare audio interviews by The Beatles – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr – will be auctioned off as NFT.
According to the Voices of Classic Rock Archive (VOCR), the company will put up for sale four rare audio interviews by The Beatles: John Lennon on A Day in the Life, Paul McCartney on Chaos and Backyard Art, George Harrison on Abbey Road and Ringo Starr on “His Lost Medallion.”
“The Beatles interviews in our collection are our most valuable assets. That’s why we decided to start with John, Paul, George and Ringo – the real stars of classic rock. These interviews have not been heard for decades. The auction marks the first time that NFT interviews with rock music icons have been offered to the general public, ”said VOCR Director Jonathan Firstenberg.
Each NFT includes an interview. WAV file. Tokens are created on the Origin NFT Launchpad platform on the Ethereum blockchain. For bidding and payment, traders can only use ETH. The starting price of NFT is 1.25 ETH (about $ 4,000). VOCR assumes that the target audience includes virtually all ages, but will be especially embraced by the “baby boomers” who actually grew up with the music of The Beatles.
VOCR also counts on audiences for generations X, Y, Z and millennials, believing that many may have inherited a love of classical rock music from their parents.
Recall that earlier this month, a piece of virtual land in The Sandbox metaverse project was sold for $ 450,000. In addition, three small parcels directly adjacent to Snoop Dogg’s estate were auctioned off OpenSea. Each premium lot comes with a bundle of three exclusive Snoop Dogg-branded NFTs.
