Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com is hiring a head of development to keep business ties during a downturn in the cryptocurrency market.
The new managing director of Crypto.com will implement the exchange’s Web3 plans. The place was taken by the former executive director of the crypto exchange Bittrex Kwon Park. He will report directly to Crypto.com COO Eric Anziani. The responsibilities of the Park will include the search for new business opportunities, as well as the development of partnerships with other crypto companies and platforms.
At Bittrex, Park served as director of strategy and business development. He has also served on the board of directors of several companies affiliated with the crypto exchange. Before joining Bittrex and Crypto.com, he spent over four years with the US state-owned Delta Strategy Group, where Park was involved in company policy, legal and compliance issues.
“Kwon has vast experience in developing and implementing complex tasks in various disciplines, a deep understanding of how to effectively scale in the crypto industry,” says Eric Anziani.
Over the past 12 months, Crypto.com has spent over a billion dollars on marketing, including high-priced ads during the US Super Bowl. Earlier, the company announced the creation of a regional cryptocurrency hub in Dubai. Thus, the exchange intends to establish its presence in the Middle East, as well as launch a large-scale recruitment campaign.
