Tesla’s rival, Canadian electric vehicle maker Daymak, plans to launch a Spiritus vehicle that will mine BTC and DOGE cryptocurrencies while it is parked.
According to Daymak, the upcoming Spiritus electric vehicle will include the Daymak Nebula, Daymak’s comprehensive cryptocurrency infrastructure, which has been pending patent application. Spiritus is slated for release in 2023.
The company also announced the start of pre-orders for Spiritus – accepting payments is possible in DOGE, BTC, ADA, ETH and other cryptoassets. According to the press release, each Spiritus vehicle will be a blockchain node.
“Daymak Nebula technology makes Spiritus the first vehicle in history with mining hardware and support for cryptocurrency technology programmed into the user interface. The Nebula infrastructure is transforming Daymak Spiritus vehicles into green blockchain nodes, ”the press release said.
The Daymak Nebula platform consists of Nebula Miner, which mines BTC and DOGE while the car is parked, and Nebula Wallet, a “one-stop solution” for cryptocurrency payments. Daymak President Aldo Baiocchi said:
