The co-author of the Bitcoin pooling platform BitSNARK and Grail spoke about the possibility of integrating transaction folding technology – rollups – into the Bitcoin network.
Edan Yago believes that Bitcoin roll-ups will ensure transactions are scaled tenfold, allowing the Bitcoin network to be kept secure at the proper level. According to the specialist, unlike other scaling proposals, the BitcoinOS rollup developed by the BitSNARK and Grail platform does not require significant network resources:
“Bitcoin rollups are a new beast! They will use zero-knowledge proof technology to improve network scaling.”
Once Bitcoin rollups are operational, they will be able to make sidechains and L2 solutions obsolete, even useless for the crypto industry, the developer believes.
Earlier, Nazar Khan, co-founder and CEO of TeraWulf, assured that the launch of the Runes protocol, which increased commissions on the Bitcoin network, provided serious support for miners’ incomes amid the consequences of the halving.
