American billionaire and cryptocurrency enthusiast Mark Cuban believes that investing in the purchase of real estate in the metaverses is an extremely unfortunate and even “stupid” idea.
Interestingly, Mark Cuban himself is quite positive about NFTs and the metaverses. He has invested in Yuga Labs, which owns popular NFT collections, including the Bored Apes Yacht Club.
However, according to him, if investing in real estate is quite justified in real life, since the amount of land is limited, then in the metaverses you can “build” as many houses, clubs and estates as you like.
“Of course, this is great money for companies, but there is no value in real estate in the metaverses. You can create an infinite number of earths, planets and stuff,” Cuban said in an interview on the Altcoin Daily channel.
However, it is not yet known exactly how the metaverses will develop. Perhaps the people who bought property in them will later be able to sell it for much more. Moreover, Nvidia recently introduced a special set of tools for metaverse developers.
Previously, Mark Cuban said that the fall of the cryptocurrency market will allow the industry to “clean up” and become a source of innovation.
