Opera browser users will have access to decentralized exchanges and applications based on BNB Chain for iOS, Android and the desktop version of Crypto Browser.
The developers of the Opera browser announced the integration of the decentralized BNB Chain ecosystem, formerly known as Binance Smart Chain. Thanks to this, 350 million Opera users will be able to purchase BNB for fiat currencies, as well as send and receive a crypto asset through a wallet built into the browser.
In addition, users will have access to decentralized applications (DApps) in the BNB Chain ecosystem, decentralized exchanges (DEXs) such as 1inch, PancakeSwap and BiSwap, as well as decentralized finance (DeFi) products such as Treehouse, DRIP Venus, AutoShark Finance, Tranchess.
BNB Chain has 4 million unique users who carry out 36 million transactions per week on the network. It now has $13 billion worth of assets locked in its DeFi ecosystem, which Opera says makes it the most popular blockchain in the world.
BNB Chain spokesman Patrick Degenhardt said that the main goal of Binance Chain is to create infrastructure for the global virtual ecosystem and attract a billion people to digital currencies. In his opinion, integration will significantly accelerate the achievement of this goal. Degenhardt believes that the speed of adoption of cryptocurrencies and blockchain requires significant efforts to combine Web2 and Web3.
In March, Opera Software announced that it was adding support for eight popular blockchains to its browser at once, including Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, Ronin and others.
